Heather Lawless is a stand-up comedian, writer, and actress from Georgia and the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. After graduating college from The University of Georgia, she moved to Los Angeles and began performing stand-up at The Comedy Store. After moving back east, to New York City, Heather received the "2005 Emerging Comedians of New York" Award for Best Female Comedian. In 2006, she was a finalist for "Outstanding Female Standup Comedian" for the New York City Nightlife Awards. Heather has performed on tour with Flight of The Conchords, Zach Galifianakis, David Cross, and The Comedians of Comedy. She has been featured on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, as well as the Comedy Central DVD/CD set "Invite Them Up". Her acting credits include Michel Gondry's "Be Kind Rewind", HBO's "Flight of The Conchords", Comedy Central's "Speed Freaks", AMC's "Life Coach" with Cheri Oteri, and MTV's "Wonder Showzen". She has also filmed projects for FX, IFC, The Cartoon Network, and NBC. Heather has lent her voice to to the Adult Swim animated series "Xavier: Renegade Angel", "That Crook'd Sipp", and "Freaknik: The Musical". In print, Heather has been featured in The New York Times, Time Out New York, New York Post Best Jokes of 2009 and Psychology Today Magazine "Humor Round Table" along with comedians Eugene Mirman, Todd Hanson, Kristen Schaal and author Sam Lipsyte. Heather currently lives in New York City with her husband and 1 year old son.
