The Field is Axel Willner, a highly acclaimed minimal techno artist from Sweden. He was signed to KOMPAKT in 2005 after submitting a demo tape, and his debut album "From Here We Go Sublime" was released two years later, gaining a 9.0 rating from Pitchfork and also ending up being ranked as their 9th best album of 2007.
