Tuesday 1st May, 2012

An exciting month this one - it'll see our return to Alexandra Palace with three amazing headliners as well as some great shows in London, Leeds & Glasgow, and more. We'll also have news updates on our forthcoming festivals so make sure to keep an eye on the newsfeed on the front of our site and follow us on Facebook and Twitter. Here's a full rundown of what we have coming up in May...

Tuesday 15th May - Two artists from one of our favourite labels - Constellation Records, will play London's Lexington. Esmerine headline, with support from Eric Chenaux. Esmerine recently released a video trailer for the tour - check it out here on Vimeo. Tickets are on sale now. Courtesy of our friends at the label we can post two free downloads from the latest albums by both artists, click the links to listen/download via Soundcloud:

Wednesday 16th May - Sharon Van Etten plays London's Scala with support from Exitmusic. Right now we don't have any tickets left on sale but it's possible we'll release an extra small amount in the next week or two. Keep an eye on the event page here for updates.

Tuesday 22nd / Thursday 24th May - The incredible SLEEP will return to the UK this May - as well as the previously announced appearance at the London I'll Be Your Mirror festival, the band have confirmed two UK headline shows supported by A Storm Of Light. They play The Arches, Glasgow on the 22nd and Stylus, Leeds on the 24th. These will be unmissable! Tickets for both shows on sale here.

Thursday 24th May - The always wonderful Beach House headline in London with support Porcelain Raft - this one is long sold out but luckily BH do return later in the year to play the Roundhouse which is on sale now.

Friday 25th - Sunday 27th May - We return to London's Alexandra Palace and are very proud to present three very varied but equally incredible headliners, all with great supporting bills. Slayer perform Reign In Blood on the Friday, our friends and yours Mogwai bring their always incredible live show on the Saturday, and on Sunday we're very priviledged to host the first reunion show from The Afghan Whigs. Limited Day Tickets are available now. We'll be announcing the stage times and final line-up additions soon.

Monday 28th May - This week Nylon and Clash launched the new video for "My Better Self" from Tennis, produced by Lilliput Pictures (http://www.facebook.com/LilliputPictures). View Here At Vimeo. My Better Self is one side of the second single (double A-side with "Petition") from Tennis' fantastically received second album 'Young & Old'. The release will be on 7" vinyl picture disc limited to 500 copies (cat no. ATPRSP17), as well as digital download (cat no. ATPRSP17D).

To coincide with the single out on May 28th, Tennis will be playing some new UK and European tour dates this May and June, see here for date listings. Both the 7" and digital release will be backed with a new version of My Better Self exclusively recorded for the single, and the band's recently recorded cover of Tell Her No (originally by The Zombies). The Digital single will be available from iTunes and also contains the other recently recorded cover of Tears in the Typing Pool (originally by Broadcast). The 7" is available to pre-order now from the ATP Store.

Wednesday 30th May - Islet are one of our favourite new British bands of the last few years and we're very happy to have them playing London at the end of the month. The band were set to play Cargo - but the show has now changed locations to a new venue called BIRTHDAYS which is opening very soon in Dalston. More info on the venue can be found at their website. All original ticket bookings are valid for the new location. You can grab a free download of 'This Fortune' by the band via our Soundcloud. Or Tickets for the show are On Sale Now
