TVOTR Weekend / Deerhunter Weekend
This December the world famous All Tomorrow's Parties music festival returns to our original home - the recently refurbished Pontins holiday camp in Camber Sands - for two sold out festival weekends curated by The National and Shellac. Now we can announce the exciting return of our Spring/Summer festivals in the same location with two wonderful American groups curating- one from the North and the other from the South...
Weekend 1: ATP Curated by TV On The Radio - May 10th-12th 2013
Hailing from Brooklyn and responsible for some of the most mind-blowing, genre-exploding music of the last decade, from their fantastic debut "Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes", the critical success story of "Return To Cookie Mountain" and recent albums "Dear Science" and "Nine Types Of Light", ATP are extremely happy to invite TV On The Radio to curate and headline the May festival. The band are well known for their stunning live shows and we're sure they will be erudite curators. Their event takes place at Pontins, Camber Sands from Friday 10th - Sunday 12th May 2013.
Tunde Adebimpe from TVOTR: "We are extremely honored and excited to be curating ATP! The festival will be a jam! The party will be a success! Rock over London, rock on Camber Sands!"
Kyp Malone from TVOTR: "We are so excited to be doing this. We had so much fun playing ATP some years ago that to be able to come back and curate is a dream realized."
The first set of artists chosen by TV On The Radio for the event will be confirmed very soon!
Weekend 2: ATP Curated by Deerhunter - June 21st-23rd 2013
Hailing from Atlanta, Deerhunter have also been one of the most exciting up and coming bands in rock music in the last decade - with side projects Atlas Sound from Bradford Cox and Lotus Plaza from Lockett Pundt also grabbing huge acclaim and helping to build their very dedicated fanbase. They are long time ATP regulars (and favourites) and we're very happy to have them head the bill - they will play three different sets, each showcasing a performance of one of their LPs "Cryptograms", "Microcastle" and "Halcyon Digest" in full. There will be an Atlas Sound show, and Deerhunter will also of course be picking the rest of the June festival line-up. Their event takes place at Pontins, Camber Sands from Friday 21st - Sunday 23rd June 2013.
A statement from the band: "ATP has been a part of our lives as Deerhunter for many years now and it's a great honour to be asked to curate."
The first set of artists chosen by Deerhunter for the event will be confirmed very soon!

ABOUT ALL TOMORROW'S PARTIES
All Tomorrow's Parties has been promoting festivals and concerts throughout the world for the last twelve years. It was founded in the wake of Belle and Sebastian’s Bowlie Weekender, with Mogwai curating in the unusual setting of Pontins Holiday Camp, Camber Sands. Since then the festival has appeared every year and has expanded across the globe continuing to set itself apart from large scale corporate festivals by staying intimate and fan-friendly. The line-ups are chosen by significant bands or artists which results in eclectic events that combine performances by legendary and influential acts with appearances by the latest crop of experimental artists from any (and every) musical genre. The festival has become more successful with every passing year, and ATP events have taken place in the UK, USA, Europe and Australia, with past curators including Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Mike Patton, My Bloody Valentine, Portishead, Sonic Youth, Slint, and Tortoise. In 2011 AT P launched a new series of curated city-based events called I'll Be Your Mirror, with events so far taking place in Tokyo, London and Asbury Park, New Jersey. ATP has set itself apart from other festivals by embracing seemingly disparate artistic genres, with events featuring art exhibitions, cinema programmes, spoken word performances and stand up comedy. It's been called 'Unforgettable' by Spin and 'the most enjoyable festival experience of our reporter's life' by Pitchfork. It has spawned an acclaimed concert series (Don't Look Back), a record label (ATP Recordings), and the release of a feature length documentary about the festivals titled All Tomorrow’s Parties, out now on DVD.
