All Tomorrow's Parties will return to Australia next week for a very special
I'll Be Your Mirror event in Melbourne. Acting as sister events to the ATP Festivals which usually take place in holiday resorts, I'll Be Your Mirror is a series of artist curated music, film and art events taking place in cities worldwide, launched by ATP in 2011.
IBYM is ATP without the accommodation aspect and is named after the b-side to The Velvet Underground's original All Tomorrow's Parties 7" single.
We can now announce the stage times, films and recommended reading list picked by The Drones and more details of the event. The
Cinema schedule is now confirmed and includes the following screening over the two event days picked by The Drones: Come And See, The Italian, Night Of The Hunter, There Will Be Blood, The King Of Comedy, Down By Law, and Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey.
Full info on all the films here.
The Drones have also picked a list of
Books to recommend to attendees, A Confederacy Of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, For Whom The Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway, The Sirens Of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut, Guignol's Band by Louis Ferdinand Celine,The Burial by Courtney Collins, Shots by Don Walker, Atomised by Michel Houellebecq, The Third Policeman by Flann O Brien and Straw Dogs by John Gray.

As part of the festival we are very glad to announce that Courtney Collins and Don Walker will be doing readings and Q&As at 4pm on Sunday. Hear stories of wild times, both real and imagined, as Don Walker reads from his memoir Shots and Courtney Collins reads from her debut novel The Burial. Stick around for a rollicking audience Q & A and a discussion about the music at the heart of the books.
